Long story short, I felt this was the natural conclusion of her stealing books from a vampire's mansion on a regular basis. I always imagined Flandre as the dark horse of Marisa’s little harem. If Flan ever decided to turn her, there’s not much anyone can do to stop it. One thing's for sure: the ensuing Alice vs. Flandre danmaku match would be awesome.
Yeah, fanon Alice can get to be too much of a walking cliche for my tastes as well. As you said, to each their own.
I ship almost every ship there is, so I just roll with the various character harems. Good choice with ReiMari. They’re really the peanut butter and jelly of the series. So different, yet what would they be without each other?
I don’t really care what the circumstances are, I just want to watch them duke it out. Perhaps I’ll draw it myself someday, but I’m not at that level yet. : P
Tsundere I can see an argument for, but yandere Alice is just weird. I just can’t imagine her doing the stereotypical yandere things. For the sake of comedy, perhaps, but still… it’s just so unfitting.
I think in the early days of Touhou, it was mentioned somewhere in the read-me text that Marisa was jealous, but I agree, it’s definitely evolved away from that by now.
RemiSaku is definitely a fave of mine~ I prefer to think that Sakuya came to the SDM while she was still quite young, in no small part thanks to all the cute Sakuya-as-a-kid doujins out there. It’s an interesting concept, Remi watching Sakuya grow and mature, while she herself stays frozen in age. I’m partial to vampire hunting theory, too. Not sure what to make of the Lunarian theory, though.
